THE FIRST OF ROADRUNNER'S NEW BREED HITS IN FEBRUARY; TOUR IN MARCH

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, this death metal six-piece are set to release their new album The Hinderers on February 26, 2007. The album is a strong return to the classic death metal/black metal sound that ruled the scene in the early ‘90's. Daath have a strong interest in ancient belief systems and psychology and site that as a prime influence of their work. Michael Kameron (synth, vocals) elaborates, "Daath's music is an exploration of the negative sides of the human psyche."

Monte Conner, the legendary RR A&R man who signed them, states, "Daath fuses elements of cutting-edge death and black metal with expansive orchestral and electronic themes. I haven't signed a death metal band since the early 90's, when that whole scene reached a serious saturation and then stagnation point. But I never stopped following the genre and when Daath came along, I finally heard a new band who injected originality, excitement and fresh ideas back into that style of music."

The Hinderers is produced by James Murphy, co-produced by Daath and mixed by Colin Richardson with additional engineering by Andy Sneap. Praises guitarist Eyal Levi, "Colin Richardson's mix is, as expected, CRUSHING! Working with him has been a blast and having Andy Sneap re-amp our rhythm guitars is no side note. This album is going to sound like we intended it to!" The result is a classic, progressive and technical death metal album including the songs Ovum, Festival Mass Soulform and first single Subterfuge; full of powerful drumming, thick raging guitars, and gutturally menacing vocals.
