Sonata Arctica Preparing For New Album

By jason

SONATA ARCTICA are currently rehearsing in preparation for their next studio album. Keyboardist Henkka Klingenberg has an ongoing rehearsal diary up and running at the band's official website. Following are his entries from Week One:

Tuesday 9/19:
"All right, here we go again. Our rehearsal-camp starts tomorrow, but since it's quite a drive from where I live, I drove up here today bringing with me some new and a lot of old equipment from back home. Marko and Jani also dropped by later in the evening and we listened to some demos of the new songs while sipping on some.....tea (bet ya didn't see that one coming).

Anyways, tomorrow at noon, our techs will be dropping off our live gear and we'll probably spend the day setting up the stuff and getting the monitoring to work properly. All in all we will spend 4+ weeks rehearsing and then taking a week off before the recording sessions starts, or at least that's what's planned, you never know what'll happen.

A little bit about the location without giving up too much.......or should I ? We've rented a place in the woods of northern Finland = in the middle of nowhere. We have separate living and working facilities as some of us will live here for the most part of the rehersals. That's about all I can say about this place right now, you'll probably see some footage from here on our next DVD which will be out within the next 10 years or so.

Ok, time to dig into some sopranos or some other dvd's I dragged with me from home."

se on moro,
Henkka
