Daylight Dies Shoot Video

By jason

Daylight Dies will film their first-ever video this coming weekend for the song "Lies That Bind" from their latest album Dismantling Devotion now available via Candlelight Records. Filming outside the band's base of Raleigh, North Carolina, the Ramon Boutviseth directed clip will feature the full band with local actors in a plot that caters to the song's dark and compelling lyrical storyline.

Released earlier this year, Blabbermouth calls Dismantling Devotion, "53 minutes of metallically heavy and sorrowfully suffocating songwriting... the songs are not meant to be eaten as snacks; each is a full-course meal."
Bravewords.com notes, "with their last album it was evident that Daylight Dies were easily one of the most prominent prospects within the death/dark/doom metal genre, and hopefully with Dismantling Devotion, this band's stature will blossom even more." Digital Metal adds, "Dismantling Devotion just enthralls and captivates with its blending of moods and perfectly paced songwriting."

After filming Daylight Dies will prepare for their performances alongside labelmates Emperor in New York July 13 and 14 (limited tickets remain via www.ticketmaster.com). The band will perform a warm-up date in Philadelphia on July 11 and later this year will kick off their first full tour in support of Dismantling Devotion; teaming up with Sweden's Katatonia and Portugal's Moonspell. Confirmed dates on the tour set to begin mid-October are available at www.candlelightrecordusa.com
