BLUT AUS NORD NEAR COMPLETION ON NEW ALBUM
French metallers Blut Aus Nord continue to work on their highly anticipated new album, M.o.R.T. (Metamorphosis of Realistic Theories). Expected for release early fall, the album follows the band's critically-acclaimed The Work Which Transforms God; reissued mid-2005 in the US with the value-added ep Thematic Emanation of Archetypal Multiplicity (a recording previously only available in Europe). On review Kerrang said, "the sound of underground metal's black heart, twisted beyond all recognition."
Song titles for M.o.R.T. as of press time include (not in order) "Ruins of the Genesis (Antiparticles)," "Dis-Harmonization of all Visual Echoes,"
"Fusion With the Zero," "Samsaric Ocean," "The Meditation of the Ghost (Samadhi)," "Le Cercle de Ceux Qui Pleurent," and "Alienation of the Orphans."
In further news, Appease Me Records, the label owned by the members of Blut Aus Nord and marketed/distributed internationally in cooperation with Candlelight Records, confirms June 13 as the American release date for the second album from noise merchants Spektr. The Near Death Experience is the domestic debut for this aggro-industrial-black metal duo. San Francisco's Aquarius Records says, "one of those rare records that is so fractured, demented and wonderfully bizarre that it has you constantly checking to see what the hell it is you are listening to."
Formed in 2000, Spektr combine sounds unlike any other. This studio project creates sounds that are harsh, disturbing, raw in all matter of sense, but one that is still highly complex and sophisticated within a low-fi environment. Much like friends and labelmates Blut Aus Nord, their music is a voyage through an apocalyptic field littered with torn fragments of Bathory, Neurosis, Khold, Emperor, Swans and more.
