Watch Anthrax Perform “Carry On Wayward Son” Live

Anthrax fans may be able to catch the band perform a special rendition of the Kansas classic, “Carry On Wayward Son,” while the band slams through their US tour with support from Code Orange and Killswitch Engage.

During the April 22nd performance of their “Killthrax” tour stop in Los Angeles, Anthrax played the cover for the first time, after prompting from fans, who shouted out to the band to play the song.

“Carry On Wayward son” is a bonus track on the band’s new expanded vinyl edition of their latest album, “For All Kings.”

In a recent interview with The Aquarian Weekly, Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante said that he is a long-time Kansas fan and had frequently practiced drums to the tune as a teen:"I had to go back into the hard drive of my brain and remember how to play the song. We wanted to do it justice," he said.
