PETE SANDOVAL DISCUSSES THE RETURN OF TERRORIZER
Drummer Pete Sandoval of Terrorizer recently expressesed his views on the band's recent reunion and plans to release a follow-up record to their groundbreaking 1989 effort, "World Downfall." Here's what he had to say...
"Well, well, well, It's been so chaotic and hectic these last days of this almost dead year of 2005. So little time to think about everyhting I have to accomplish. First, Jesse Pintado will be arriving in Tampa Bay, Florida to join me in this workout of the century! On the first week on January, the making of the second album of the undisputed godfathers of Grindspeedchaoticdeathmetal.
You all know how we created 'World Downfall" and then how it ended or stayed still, up in the air since I joined forces with the mighty Morbid Angel and Jesse joined Napalm Death? It's been almost seventeen unbelievable years of waiting and talking and gossiping about reunions or promises to do another album, through many years and nothing happened, But now, this is serious for all you great and die hard fans, because we have not abandoned you that have remained loyal and have been waiting for almost two decades!
We have finally come to a dead serious agreement between us and Century Media Records. We are going into the studio to record a horrifying and ultra-fast sound that can only be explained by listening to it and it will take you like a deadly fast and brutal storm or like a tornado that goes through town and leaves nothing, but you're guessing 'What the hell has happened here?"
Our surprise reunion and record is coming soon because we will start recording at Punchy Gonzales Studios at the beginning of 2006. Hell yeah, I'm so excited and so you should all be because I will make sure that it is so fast and furious and so deadly grinding.
So wait until I do an interview for The Gauntlet and I will name the rest of the battle team and talk about the songs and some other things I will make a monthly statement on Myspace after that and have further news about Morbid Angel's upcoming "Monsters Of Chaos" 2006 US tour."
