BEYOND DISHONOR Debut New Music Video And Make A Stripper Cry
Beyond Dishonor is an unsigned but rising metal band from Trenton, NJ. Comprised of five members with very different influences, styles and quirks, this 5 year veteran of the New Jersey Metal scene combines all of those myriad differences between them and, somehow, creates music that is brutal and aggressive enough for the most hardcore of fans and yet groovy enough to be accessible to those on the fringe. Lately the band has been garnering more and more fans through their recent radio success and relentless touring schedule up and down the east coast.
Beyond Dishonor recently shot and edited its new video for the track "Otis (Slayer Of Demons)."
Drummer Mike Lock stated "We just finished editing the video for Otis (Slayer of Demons). The video is a combination of fan footage and then we mounted cameras to my head and the guitar necks. I am just working on the final rendering of it and will release it once ready."
The video for "Otis (Slayer of Demons)" is debuting now at this location.
The band released its first full length album, 'Travesty,' in 2011 and are working on material for the new EP.
Mike stated "We are actively writing new material right now. We'd like to put something out this Summer or early Fall. We were ready to go work on the new material a while ago but we were told our album still had legs and could get us more exposure. Then this Summer we hope to hit fans hard with something new. We are planning on calling our EP 'This Is Madness.'"
Beyond Dishonor is still climbing up the CMJ radio charts with songs off 'Travesty.'
Frontman Reese stated "We entered the CMJ charts at #2 with the song Otis (Slayer of Demons). Things are going really well with radio for us. When WSOU picks you up, that is a good thing. They have been good to us. We were both shocked and happy with our radio performance."
Until they enter the studio to record the new EP, you will be able to catch Beyond Dishonor playing shows in the Northeast. (see below for dates)
“We play a lot of shows for an unsigned band†stated Mike. “We are kind of weekend warriors but we will play a weekday show when it is the right show. We have been trying to get out of New Jersey but we keep getting sucked back in because people like us here. We are trying to play some more shows in the surrounding areas."
Beyond Dishonor is the club favorite at Club Risque and even has an upcoming show there on April 13. While the band might be well received at Club Risque, the same might not be said for a certain drummer in the band.
Guitarist Wes Ingraham revealed "Our drummer made a stripper cry in the champagne room." To which Mike Lock replied "Lets just say I was less than enthused as a discerning citizen."
