Group prepares Abacus debut...

Sworn To A Life Of Brutal Metal Core, Sworn Enemy Set The Record Straight On January 24, 2006 With Their Abacus Recordings Debut, "The Beginning Of The End" Produced by Tim Lambesis Vocalist For As I Lay Dying... AND This January, Sworn Enemy Join Fellow New York Metal Icons ANTHRAX With NJ Argonauts God Forbid On Tour.

At the dawn of the new millennium, erupting from Queens, NY, Sworn Enemy pushed their way to the frontlines of the proud and predominant New York hardcore/metal scene. Known as a sacred institution for heavy music shaped by ideals surrounding everyday life with an honest desperation and urgency; metal and hardcore is as much about attitude as about the music. The epitome: SWORN ENEMY.

Originally, SE released their Negative Outlook EP on Jamey Jasta's (Hatebreed, MTV 2 Headbangers Ball Host) own STILLBORN RECORDS. Soon afterwards, the band released their first full length "As Real As It Gets" (Elektra), educating the world with a powerful lesson of what true metal/hardcore crossover means. Landing a coveted spot on the second stage of Ozzfest 2003 and with a loyal fan base in tow, Sworn Enemy continued to pummel and destroy fans by relentless touring with acts such as Slayer, Slipknot, God Forbid, Hatebreed, Unearth, D.R.I., Arch Enemy, American Nightmare and so many more.

Now, in their quest for delivering no frills, metallic hardcore, the band is more dedicated than ever. Sworn Enemy redefined their heavy hitting line up, signed to Abacus Recordings, and have delivered their best work ever- "The Beginning Of The End". "Our last album was totally rushed. Elektra threw us into the studio. We were still writing songs while tracking. 'The Beginning of the End' doesn't even compare with our last one. This record surpasses anything Sworn Enemy has ever done with flying colors," proclaims guitarist, Lorenzo Antonucci. The band's mission is simple, "To set the tone for the new age of metal," says vocalist/front man, Sal Lococo. "This record signifies a new chapter for us as a band, a new style of music." Revolving around topics of politics, religion and everyday life, the new album showcases the band in their element, delivering brutal music with themes anyone can relate to.

Forget what you think you know about Sworn Enemy- they're pushing their personal metallic assault way into the red without any care or regard to the current metalcore scene. "We don't follow any trends. We play music from the heart." says Sal. This release takes the hostility and conviction of the band to a new level of destruction.
