Formed in March 1990, SEPTIC FLESH released first Mini Lp Temple of the Lost Race in December 1991. The titles will be republished in June 2002 in no-claims bonus on an edition digipack of the first album Mystic Places of Dawn. A promotape 3 titles including/understanding two titles of this Mini Lp and the title “Morpheus (The Dreamlord)” enables them to obtain a contract with Holy records.

The first album Mystic Places of Dawn left in April 1994 is recorded with the Storm studio with Magus Wampyr Daoloth as Co-producer. The title “Return to Carthage” will appear later on the compilation of Nuclear Blast Death Is Only The Beginning III. One year later, in June 1995, leaves Esoptron which will be followed of Ophidian Wheel in May 1997. This time they choose the studio Praxis and Lambros Sfyris as Co-producer and it will be the same for A Fallen Temple which will leave in March 1998.

The arrival of Natalie Rassoulis to the song and the influences neo-classic give a more theatrical and technical dimension to the compositions of the group. SEPTIC FLESH proposes its first clip The Eldest Cosmonaut which will appear September 1998 in a special format including/understanding the video cassette and individual 4 new titles.

The success gained at the time of the round The Temple of Humiliations with Natron and Misanthrope brings to the group a true popularity. In June 1999 they invest the Fredman studios where they record Revolution DNA with Fredrik Nordstrom as producer. The album leaves in the vats in October 1999 and presents an innovative musical style. Seeking a new departure in its career the group works with a company of management Harvest management in order to find a new house of discs.

SEPTIC FLESH signs on Hammerheart records at at the end of 2001 and turns over in summer 2002 to the Fredman studios to record Sumerian Daemons which will leave at the end of this same year. This album joins again with the past and is a sumptuous mixture of all the facets of SEPTIC FLESH.

In April of 2007 Chris , Spiros , Sotiris and Fotis are working on their 6th new , untitled yet Album for the Label "Seasons Of Mist" .

The legend says that a mythical creature named phoenix could be resurrected from its ashes. It is also says that those who carry the spirit of "burning phoenix" are unstoppable, even by the flames of an "infernal sun", as they possess the "ophidian will" to carry on, beyond all obstacles. But enough with cryptic talks and hints... Let it be known that legendary SEPTIC FLESH have returned! Greek daemons Seth, Chris Antoniou, Sotiris V. and Fotis Benardo are back as they decided that besides their experimentation with different projects and musical paths, the path of the Flesh was not completely explored. And they have more nightmares to share...

SEPTIC FLESH will record their sixth full length album under the flag of Season of Mist. The yet untitled album will carry all the elements that made the sound of SEPTIC FLESH so distinctive. There will be pale, strange guitar melodies, brutal and sharp riffing, the devil behind the mic, and of course the neoclassical arrangements that are trademark of Chris Antoniou.

For that purpose alone, Chris the "gothic maestro" will torture a full orchestra and choir respectively made of 80 musicians and 32 singers! The rest of the album will be recorded and mixed on what has become the temple of the past two musical rituals of SEPTIC FLESH. Yes, once again they have chosen to invade the famous Fredman studios, with the company of Fredrik Nordstrom.

"On winds of smoke they are singing, their calling is the calling of the free, Fly with Us"
