Formed in the summer of 1999, Southern California Heavy Metal band SANGRE has made a name for themselves by Playing Countless shows, through endless Footwork and self promotion, and by creating true to life, aggressive, heavy, and at times melodic metal music. Music with a message that everyone can relate to on some level. Life through the eyes of 5 young men struggling with, and overcoming lifes everday obstacles, and the world we live in. One minute you are in a trance of melodic guitars, and soothing vocals, next second you are in the middle of pure fury. Intense hammering Riffs, thundering bass, earth shaking drum rolls, double bass, and an onslaught of ear piercing screams, and growls.
SANGRE has gone through several changes over the last 7 years, but it has all been for the better. The band has evolved musically on many different levels. With a wide scope of musical influences Sangre finds a way to mesh it all together thus creating a diverse versatile brand of metal. Combine all that with an explosive live performance & an evergrowing fanbase. Sangre is a band that is definitly making some noise and going places. Now a full unit of dedicated, motivated, talented musicians and friends, Sangre is stable, focused, and ready to show the world what they are all about.
Sangre Was a featured band in the June 2005 issue of REVOLVER magazine. They were selected amongst thousands of bands around the nation and are featured in the "Revolver Raw Talent" section of the nationally distributed magazine. Sangre also continues to receive airplay on Southern California Rock station’s: 96.7 Kcal fm’s "MoshPit" radio program, and KCXX X103.9 fm’s Xtreme X Metal show, Both out of the San Bernardino/Riverside area. SANGRE also receives airplay on many internet & college stations, and has been on a hand full of compilations over the years. Sangre has played all over California, and Mexico and are currently planning a tour of the west coast and western United states this summer.
They have had the priveledge of playing alongside national acts such as: Sepultura, God Forbid, Goatwhore, Kittie, Asesino, All That Remains, My Ruin, Otep, Diecast, Mushroomhead, Brujeria, Mnemic, Soil, Ankla, Manntis, Hemlock, Brand New Sin, The Autumn Offering, Sworn Enemy, Silent Civilian, MotoGrater, Deeds Of Flesh, Arsis, Job For A Cowboy, The Human Abstract, Bad Acid Trip, Devil Inside, Bleed The Sky, Divine Heresy, Crematorium, Zebrahead, Suicide Silence, Calico System, The Warriors, and even Rap artist Coolio, amongst others. Sangre has played all over including: The Whisky A go go, The Key Club, The Roxy, House Of Blues, The Galaxy Theatre, Brick By Brick, Gotham/La Luna, The Viper Room, The Knitting Factory, Coconut Teaszers, and the list goes on and on.
