HIM to tour with Dommin

HIM Los Angeles-based alternative rock band DOMMIN, whose Roadrunner debut Love is Gone is due in stores on February 2, are pleased to announce that they will be touring with H.I.M., We Are the Fallen and Drive A this Spring. The tour kicks off on March 26 in Philadelphia and will run through early May. Dommin will appear as the second of four bands on the bill, after Drive A and before We Are the Fallen.

Dommin's darkly romantic brand of music focuses on things like heartbreak and love lost, set to lush, epic soundscapes. With Love is Gone, heartache has a new soundtrack.

Those who've already seen the band perform live last summer were impressed, with ABC News 12 in Flint/Detroit saying, "The band had undeniable charm on its side. And seeing that kind of passion and potential doesn't happen every night." Dommin have done various tours in the past year leading up to the album's release. They've hit the road with a variety of acts, including Combichrist, Wednesday 13, select dates on Warped Tour, The Birthday Massacre. Lacuna Coil and The 69 Eyes. The band will have played over 100 shows before the record's release date.

Outburn called the album "trimmed with synth pop tinkerings" while Ultimate Guitar said "There's certainly a The Crow-like darkness to Dommin, but it's more inviting and welcoming than it is dangerous and distant," and "The lyrics also explore topics like fractured relationships, love being a living hell, celebrating dark holidays and other damage that's inflicted on our fragile aortas. If anything, Kristofer Dommin is doing his best to be the voice of the brokenhearted. It's a topic that never goes cold in rock music and Dommin add their own heat to it."

Fangoria raved that the album is "a blend of haunting and complex melodies" while Rock Scarz claimed Love is Gone "is a solid album covering the topics of love and pain and everything else that goes along with it. It has elements of goth, new wave, punk and metal but still manages to keep a unique sound."
