ROTTING CHRIST Reveal New Album Title
Season Of Mist Records has announced that Greek black metallers ROTTING CHRIST will release their new album, entitled Aealo, on February 15th in Europe, and February 23rd in North America.
The album will delve deeper than ever before into the band's Greek roots.
Frontman Sakis explains: "Aealo is the transcription of the ancient Greek word ???? into the Latin alphabet. It means thrashing, catastrophe or destruction and reflects the musical and lyrical content of the album. The concept of Aealo deals with the feelings of a warrior during a battle, therefore the album's title bears this sense of anger, fear and grief."
Stay tuned for further updates.
As previously reported, Rotting Christ have announced their first ever Australian tour. The band will commemorate their 20th anniversary by hitting Oceania (islands in the Pacific Ocean and vicinity) for the first time in their career.
Says the band: "We are really honored to finally have the chance to celebrate New Year's Eve together with our Australian metal brothers on the roster of Screamfest, one of the country's biggest metal festivals, on December 31st, followed by another two shows."
Dates include:
December
31 - Screamfest - Sydney, Australia
January
4 - Billboard - Melbourne, Australia
5 - Hi Fi - Brisbane, Australia
