Marilyn Manson Accuser Gets Trial Date
A Los Angeles judge has scheduled a jury trial for June 2nd, 2025, in the sexual assault case brought against Marilyn Manson by his former personal assistant, Ashley Walters.
Walters' lawsuit, originally filed in 2021, alleges a pattern of abuse during her year working for Manson (real name Brian Warner) between 2010 and 2011. The lawsuit details disturbing incidents, including forced physical contact and threats. Warner's lawyers have denied the allegations.
An earlier attempt by Warner to dismiss the case due to the statute of limitations was unsuccessful. The appeals court ruled that Walters' claims could proceed under California's "delayed discovery" rule, which allows for lawsuits even if they are filed after the standard timeframe if trauma repressed memories.
This trial is one of several accusations of abuse Manson has faced. While he has settled with some accusers, he maintains his innocence in all cases. Walters' attorney expressed confidence they will prevail in court.
