The Impaler to self-release their new album, "A Fate Worse Than Death"
Australian band THE IMPALER will release their album "A Fate Worse Than Death" on February 19th, 2021. The album is the follow up to their 2020 Debut album "Death Cult" and features guest appearances from Josh Hill of Cerement and CJ McMahon of Thy Art Is Murder on "Mourn".
Though newly formed, The Impaler has made a dent in the local scene and have even made themselves known to fans in the U.S. With their music featuring crushing riffs, breakdowns, heavy atmospheric tremolo effects, deep guttural, and sometimes feral sounding vocals, the band strikes a sweet spot between Death Metal and Black Metal. The Impaler aims to move its listeners physically with its energy-infused music, then mentally with its cryptic and story-driven lyrical themes. Together the band draws on influences from bands like Aversions Crown, Whitechapel, and Watain.
The Impaler is a band that aims to please by means of Total Chaos.
