Pete Way Dead at 69
Pete Way, the inspiration for thousands of Bassists, and founder of the legendary UFO. Pete also performed in The Pete Way band, The Plot, Waysted and FastWay - It is unclear weather or not Pete actually participated in Fastway (whose name is the juxtaposition of Motorheads (FAST) Eddie Clark and Pete (Way)
Most of his work was dedicated to his band UFO where he was clearly the biggest showman on that stage. UFO, who has more records than one can count is no left with one member of the original band - Phil Mogg.
“He sustained life threatening injuries in an accident two months ago but fought hard until finally succumbing to those injuries at 11.35am BST today. His wife, Jenny, was at his side.
"Pete Way was a much loved and highly regarded figure among rock fans, critics and fellow musicians alike.
"Best known for his work with UFO, Pete’s energetic live performances were at the heart of the band’s countless world tours."
