TIBERIUS NEW SINGLE OUT NOW

Tiberius Edinburgh-based progressive metal band Tiberius have released the first single Swansong from their upcoming debut album (More details to follow). This marks their first new song since the 2018 release ‘Dissipate’, which they performed during a UK-wide headline tour and as part of their mainstage appearance at UK Tech-Metal Fest that same year.

The single, mixed and mastered by Meyrick De La Fuente (Exist Immortal, Godeater, Derange and Vexed) at Floodgate Audio, is accompanied by a music video directed by Tiberius’ own Chris Foster and shot and edited by Joey Aitchison of JWA Creations. The video’s narrative takes a particularly dark tone that may leave some viewers uncomfortable but ultimately entertained. Tiberius’ own Ryan Anderson, a recent graduate of the Rose Bruford College of Acting, takes a starring role in this bizarre horror short, to provide both the shock and perhaps even the laugh factor.

“I won’t say that the filming of Swansong was particularly comfortable, because it wasn’t, but overall I’d say the experience was enjoyable, and I’m looking forward to hearing people’s reactions to both the music and the video” - Grant Barclay

“With the release of Swansong, we’re looking to firmly establish the next stage of Tiberius in terms of our musical direction and live performances - we spent a long time working on this album and now it’s time to take the material out as far and wide as possible. We hope you all enjoy.” - Jahan Tabrizi

Tiberius had planned to compliment their release with a small run of shows with Shattered Skies including the Novena Album launch in London, but unfortunately these plans have been cancelled due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. Plans are in motion to reschedule for later in the year, in addition to playing UK Tech-Metal Fest in July and RADAR festival in August should they go forward. More dates are to be announced so keep an eye on social media, including Facebook and Instagram. There you will also find further information, such as merch links for pre-orders when they go live, and other updates about the album. You can currently stream their new single Swansong on all major platforms.
