CORNERS OF SANCTUARY complete American Metal Mayhem Tour of California

CORNERS OF SANCTUARY New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal band CORNERS OF SANCTUARY (COS) has returned home to Philadelphia fresh off their recent American Metal Mayhem Tour of California earlier this month. The trip, which was sponsored by Metal Babe Mayhem and MBM Music LLC, was the band's first outing to the West Coast. “We had such a great time and are so happy to have been able to put this all together for COS,” said MBM Music founder Alison Masson.

Carrying their modern classic metal flag to stake claim on the Sunshine State, COS worked the southern California scene performing at the legendary Rainbow Bar & Grill in West Hollywood, Skinny's Lounge in North Hollywood where the band shared the bill with Fear Factory's Burt C. Bell and his project band Ascension of the World (AOTW), the world famous Doll Hut in Anaheim, which is now the focus of a new motion picture, Malone's House of Metal in Santa Ana and a live performance and interview on the C4OC Radio Network.

"It was an amazing time," said COS guitarist Mick Michaels. "It was a great opportunity and we were fortunate enough to have been able to make it all work. The support was great, as it's all about spreading the music and what better place to do that than in the entertainment capital of the world," Michaels added.

The trip showcased new singer Treese Logan, who joined the band back in August. California marked her first major excursion with Corners of Sanctuary.

"What a great experience!” Logan said. “The historical places we got to perform, the bands we got to play with, everyone was awesome! It really was incredible!" she added.

"Treese did great, as a lot of hard work went into getting her up to speed in a short amount of time. California became a sort of a trial by fire and she did not miss a beat," Michaels explained. "There’s a new energy, and new energy means new horizons," he added.

Upon their return, COS doesn't plan on slowing down either. A new Holiday EP, "Merry Metal Xmas VI" is set to release December 1st with a portion of CD sales being donated to charity. The latest seasonal installment contains remixed cuts from the 2015 “Driven Snow” album along with new recordings of “Jingle Bells” and “Joy to the World” featuring vocals by Ms. Logan.

The band has also headed back into the studio to re-record vocals for their forthcoming album "The Galloping Hordes". This move also has COS teaming up with legendary producer and engineer Bill Metoyer (Slayer, W.A.S.P., Fates Warning) at SkullSeven Productions to head the album’s post-production mastering sessions.

"We decided that the best course of action would be to have Treese represented on the new album," Michaels stated. "Even though Hordes has been in the can for almost six months, this is the right move," he continued. “Plus, we now have the chance to work with Bill and what’s more metal than that? It’s a win-win,” Michaels added.

Corners of Sanctuary finishes out 2017 with two final shows: December 15th at the Holiday Heavy Metal Fashion Show at Bar XIII in Wilmington, Delaware and New Year's Eve at the Irish Wolf Pub in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Corners of Sanctuary “Merry Metal Xmas IV” EP can be purchased as an MP3 download or the physical disc.
