HOLLOW BONES PREMIERE NEW SONG “BALANCE”

HOLLOW BONES NY group Hollow Bones have premiered “Balance” this morning. Balancing savage metallic toned hardcore with a strong melodic refrain the song reflects the inner turmoil of someone suffering from mental illness.

Vocalist Patrick Anthony says of the song “it’s about trying to love someone with mental illness. Obviously mental illness takes a horrible toll on those suffering from it but it also takes a significant toll on those who care about the victim.” “Balance” is part of a two-song digital single dropping in early October. The second song “Collapse” is thematically linked to “Balance” as well.

The band also wanted to release the following statement. Hollow Bones are strong proponents of mental illness awareness and we strongly encourage those suffering to get help, and to reach out to those they love. If you are in danger of hurting yourself or are having suicidal thoughts, please call 1 800-273-8255 immediately. Always tell the people you love how much they mean to you, as we are not guaranteed a second chance.

Hailing from White Plains, NY Hollow Bones have risen to become one of the most passionate hardcore/metal-core bands from the empire state. One notable advocate of this statement is Tuck O’Leary, Bassist of Fit For A King who approached the band about co-producing the two new singles.

With the release of their 2016 full-length Lionheart the band also received high marks and coverage from such outlets as Loudwire, Revolver Mag, Bravewords, New Noise Magazine and Lambgoat. Rounded out by Sharon Malfesi (guitar/vocals) Andrew Formale (guitar), Kyle Cullen (bass) and Colin Robinson (drums), the band admits that listeners need to see them live to get the full Hollow Bones experience. Touring consistently the band has shared stages with bands including Periphery, Whitechapel, Sworn In, Thy Art Is Murder, Emmure, Knocked Loose, Gideon, Chasing Safety, Born of Osiris, Fit For an Autopsy and Stray From the Path.

“Balance” is out now via digital retailers. For October the band has announced the “Word Is Bond” tour with Contra (dates appear below).
