Tetrarch's new album "Freak" will be out Sept 29th

Tetrarch Buzzworthy melodic metal group TETRARCH – featuring the unchecked talents of vocalist/guitarist Josh Fore, lead guitar-goddess Diamond Rowe, bassist Ryan Lerner and drummer Ruben Limas – will release their upcoming full-length album, entitled Freak, on September 29, 2017 (pre-order via iTunes HERE!).

One listen and it’s clear– TETRARCH oozes profound, unbridled, raw skill. Freak amplifies the band’s tried-and-true blend of intense metalcore riffage and driving drums with the dark vibes and haunting choruses of hooky modern hard rock. TETRARCH’s most cited influences – ranging from bands such as heavy metal giants Slipknot and Trivium to hard rock darlings Mudvayne and Linkin Park – are evident but never replicated, as they stay true to their own unique mixture that appeals to any heavy music fan.

Although Freak is not a concept album, the album title and title track depict themes close to lead guitarist Diamond Rowe’s heart. Rowe has been turning heads coast-to-coast with her performance style, showcasing her individuality and remarkable skill. As a woman of color making great strides in the heavy metal industry, Rowe relates directly to the concept behind the track.

“Freak is basically about embracing the weird things about yourself that other people may find bizarre,”says Rowe. “I guess you could say I'm a bit of a freak. I'm not what you would consider your typical guitar player in a metal band! Honestly, it’s great though. I like seeing the look on people’s faces when they find out how huge of a metalhead I am, and even more so when they see me on stage ripping it up with the guys. Essentially, I’m what some might consider an outcast, or a freak, and I love it and embrace it. This song and album are for the people who, like us, are willing to flaunt their individuality.”

Freak was recorded with seasoned producer Dave Otero (Cattle Decaptitation, Allegeon, Khemmis) at the helm, who brought out the band’s raw heaviness without sacrificing the catchy, melodic edge that has hooked the band’s impressive underground fanbase. The resulting sound is crushing enough to fit on any heavy metal bill, but catchy enough to land confidently in commercial radio rotation.

"Recording Freak in Denver, CO with Dave Otero was honestly such a privilege,” adds Rowe. “We want to grow creatively with every release. We really tapped into a lot of different influences on this record and tried new things that we never did with some of our previous EP's. We challenged ourselves to think outside of the box, and are extremely happy with how it came out. In some ways, this record is a lot heavier than anything we have ever done, and in other ways it’s a lot creepier and mysterious. I think there’s a little something for everyone on this record.”
