Necromante announce Oct 6th release of "The Magickal Presence of Occult Forces"
IRON BONEHEAD PRODUCTIONS is proud to present NECROMANTE's highly anticipated debut album, The Magickal Presence of Occult Forces, on CD and vinyl LP formats. Formed in 2007, NECROMANTE have patiently stirred their cauldron of sound over the course of a couple demos, a mini-album, and a live album. Hailing from Brazil, within that cauldron, of course, can be found ancient ingredients like Sarcofago, Vulcano, Sextrash, Mystifier, and Impurity, but the power-trio finesse forth a sound that's less focused on tempting the corners of chaos as it is conjuring an arcane, otherworldly aura - in that sense, not dissimilar to Impurity's classic Into the Ritual Chamber. However, on evidence of The Magickal Presence of Occult Forces, NECROMANTE are truly a unique entity unto themselves, and masterfully so.
Over the course of 41 minutes, The Magickal Presence of Occult Forces verily approximates its title. With a ritualistic woodwind intro setting the scene, NECROMANTE soon kick in with their conjuring black metal. Raw and red-blooded yet utterly clear in its execution, the album swirls together martial blasts of bestial drums, sorcerous heavy metal leads, contrapuntal bass-work, and frequent interludes of eerie acoustics. It's a highly textured sound despite its seemingly primitive rudiments, thereby maximizing the ancient darkness which so feeds NECROMANTE, but it all ascends further to godhood with the charismatic, chillingly enunciated vocals of guitarist Arquimedes666. Epic without belaboring the point, authentically underground but by no means bound by it, thoroughly BLACK METAL in essence while simultaneously expanding its language: this is a journey into mysteries unexplored and truths unknown.
Witness The Magickal Presence of Occult Forces and hail the new gods of NECROMANTE!
