SULPHUR SUN: Premiere "Vitreous"
Bern, Switzerland based dissonant technical death metal outfit Sulphur Sun was formed in the summer of 2011 as a death metal project among friends. After a long time of experimentation mixed with trial and error, the group's debut "demo" EP Bioluminescence was birthed in 2013. Once those first steps had been taken, the bands sound started to grow and evolve into more progressive directions as time went on.
Leading to today's premiere, the group's first new song in four years, "Vitreous" is an explosive and mercurial death metal experience you'll want to check out.

Sulphur Sun vocalist Marc had this to say about today's premiere of "Vitreous", and also their forthcoming album plans moving forwards:
" The song "Vitreous" is our first recorded music since the demo from 2013, and functions as a bridge between said demo and the coming debut LP, that's been being worked on since early 2014. To explain the song, I have to mention a few details regarding the debut LP. (It should be released in the next two years). The LP will be split into two half, each with very different thematics, while still referencing the other half. One being more progressive, illuminated, conscious of the current discourse and metaphysical, while the second half is filled with gloom and Paleozoic escapism.
"Vitreous" combines both of these halves (the dualism of escapist bloat and social developments) in the lyrical concept and also the compositional arrangements and was therefore chosen as a "herald" of the album that is to come. We recorded the song at Hardbeat Studio (Run by the guys in the band Defaced) in Emmental between September 2016 and February 2017. And the mixing/mastering was done by Neil Kernon (Nile, Cannibal Corpse, Akercocke, Nevermore, etc)."
