Gene Simmons Says KISS Has a Few More Years Before Calling it Quits
KISS mouthpiece, Gene Simmons, said in an recent interview with Glasgow Live, that the band likely has a few more years in them before calling it quits:
"We're the hardest-working band in show business. I wear over forty pounds of studs and armor and all that stuff, seven-inch platform heels, spit fire and have to fly through the air and do all that stuff.
"If Bono or [Mick] Jagger, who we all love, had to dress up and do what I do, they couldn't last an hour — they just couldn't."
Simmons went on to say that it would have been smarter for the band to simply wear "t-shirts and jeans" on stage to be comfortable than to wear the costume armor the band dons on stage.
