Speaking with Ghosts - Searching for Direction - out April 13, 2017

Speaking with Ghosts Album Cover Speaking With Ghosts (For fans of The Ghost Inside, Parkway Drive, August Burns Red) is a 5-piece metalcore band based out of Chicago, Illinois. The band formed in late 2013 and consists of Ryan Wilmot, Craig Hoffman, Tyler Baskin, Pat Olson, and Jake Stone.

In June of 2014, Speaking With Ghosts traveled to two time Grammy nominated producer, Matt Dalton (Chiodos, Vic Fuentes of Pierce the Veil, I See Stars), at 37 Studios in Detroit, Michigan, to record their debut EP, Searching For Direction.

For their upcoming full length album, Speaking with Ghost worked with Cory Brunnemann (Nonpoint, Upon a Burning Body, Nothing More) and teamed up with Alternative Press to premiere their music video for their single, “The Boy Who Lived”.

Since then, they’ve continued to play shows and make an impact on the local music scene, culminating to a chance to play Knotfest 2015 in San Bernardino, California, and have worked all throughout 2016 to write an album worthy of being their first full length release.
The band’s message is “Shine Light And Inspire.” It means to be a light in the tunnel for those surrounded by darkness, stretching a hand out to those who are kicked down, and to be the rock for those weathering the storm. The motto is signified with the lantern emblem.
