Twingiant/Into the Storm Split: Jan. 20, 2017

twingiant and into the storm split The split consists of two previously unreleased tracks from Twingiant and two from Into the Storm's critically acclaimed album Where the Merfalo Roam.

Twingiant commented about the split " we’re really excited about the split cassette with Into the Storm and that it’s being released by Tridroid Records. First off, Into the Storm is a fucking badass band and second, Christine from Tridroid Records has been super cool to work with. As far as Twingiant’s submissions for the split, we feel that the two songs are a very honest representation of the direction we’re heading musically into right now, which is more traditional metal and rock flavored. We know that it’ll be almost impossible to shed the “stoner/sludge metal” label we’ve acquired over time, but we honestly don’t feel that represents our sound anymore. Ultimately, as long as people continue to support Twingiant, we’re perfectly fine with whatever they end up labeling us.

Into the Storm also commented "In the current state of the world there is no better time to release 'Ghostmaker' and 'Maths' on an overwhelming split tape with Twingiant. Into the Storm's songs taken off of 'Where the Merfalo Roam' LP are set to ensure that you know your government is out to get you. The grind of progress will never stop. You are alone. They will determine what is best for you. Sit back and grab a gin let the heaviness wash over you. Welcome home."

The split will be available on cassette on January 20th 2017
