Gorod Releases New Music Video

Gorod France’s undisputed kings of Technical Death Metal, Gorod, released their masterful A Maze of Recycled Creeds album last year through Unique Leader Records to critical acclaim.

This year, the Bordeaux-based crew released one of the most inventive and unique video offerings to date for the album’s track, “The Mystic Triad of Artistry.” The video was directed and shot by Gautier Roscoet.

Marked by its rather whimsical visual composition, the new video aligns harmoniously with the wild, technical prowess heard in the song, as Gorod appropriates nimble, intricate arpeggios among tight-as-hell time signature changes and vocalist Julien Deyres’ barking, snarling growls.

Originally founded in 1997 under the moniker “Gorgasm,” Gorod quickly became a tour-de-force of Technical Death Metal, releasing nine studio albums (their first under the former Gorgasm, and eight others as “Gorod”), in their 20 year history.
The band recently played a slew of shows in France, which included an appearance at the Thrill Seeker Festival alongside Otargos, Arcania, and others.

A Maze of Recycled Creeds can be downloaded from Unique Leader Records here. and Gorod can be found and followed at their Facebook.com page at www.facebook.com/GorodOfficial
