Hierophant Drops New Single from Debut
Italian deathpunk band HIEROPHANT are streaming the second track off their forthcoming new album, 'Mass Grave', The track, a ferocious mix of death metal and grindcore titled "Forever Crucified" is streaming now at Decibel Magazine.
'Mass Grave' is HIEROPHANT's fourth album and first with Season of Mist, and will be released worldwide on November 4.
Regarding the new track, the band comments, ""Forever Crucified" deals with the impossibility to connect with the outside world and to conform to its non-sense rules. It's like a burst of blind anger. There's no target, purpose or any attempt to rationalize it. The music and the lyrics are like a bullet shot into the unknown with the sole purpose to hurt. We're very proud to have such a great music magazine like Decibel to premiere it."
'Mass Grave' was recorded at The Pit Recording Studio (NAILS, TWITCHING TONGUES, DISGRACE, XIBALBA, ACxDC, and more) with Taylor Young of NAILS. 'Mass Grave' features artwork from Paolo Girardi ( POWER TRIP, BLACK BREATH, INQUISITION).
Regarding the new album, Young adds,
"I was lucky enough to mix Hierophant's previous album, "Peste", and I couldn't be more excited to be able to take it to the next level and help them create a monstrous album. This will be one of the heaviest and most aggressive productions I have created thus far."

Established in 2010 in Italy, HIEROPHANT (feat. former members of THE SECRET) have since cut their teeth in the underground grind and hardcore scenes through the release of three well-received full lengths and several tours across Europe. The band's aggressive take on extreme hardcore and metal amalgamates massive sonic impact with tinges of sludge, death and black metal, and a visceral punk attitude.
