LOOK WHAT I DID Announces Release Date for Rock Opera 'Zanzibar III: Analog Prison'
The genre-bending, Nashville, TN based sometimes-heavy, sometimes-melodic band Look What I Did has finally announced a release date for its forthcoming rock opera "Zanzibar III: Analog Prison," which the band has been working on for the past five years.
The album will be released on a special-edition, random-colored vinyl 12" and through all the typical online distribution channels via the Chicago-based indie label So Say We All Records on March 2.
A full stream of the album is available from now until the record is released at the So Say We All Records' Bandcamp page.
Vinyl copies of "Zanzibar III: Analog Prison" come with a playbill and a script, detailing the opera's storyline, which pits an army of centaur-like horse people against the wicked pirate Zanzibar and his swashbucklers and mechanized spiders. Re-imagined caricatures of cult leader David Koresh and historical figure Brigham Young, living on an outpost on the moon, make a trip to Earth and find themselves mired in the conflict between the centaurs and Zanzibar.
Look What I Did will play a record release party for the offering, which will take place on February 28 at Exit/In in Nashville, TN.
