Metalachi returns to the Sunset Strip for Cinco De Mayo weekend bash
The World's First And Only Heavy Metal Mariachi Band returns to the Sunset Strip on Sunday May 4th at the infamous Whisky a Go Go for their annual Cinco De Mayo Sunset Strip Bash 2014.
For the 4th consecutive year, Metalachi brings their own special blend of raucous humor and musical mastery to the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood CA for what has quickly become one of the biggest May 5th weekend events on the West Coast and one of the most anticipated Cinco De Mayo events in Los Angeles.
Hailing from Hollywood California via Juarez Mexico, Metalachi is a musical/comedy stage show that somehow seamlessly blends the world of Spinal Tap and Cheech & Chong into an over-the-top stage spectacle. Now considered to be one of the fastest growing shows in the US, Metalachi has garnered worldwide acclaim from a loyal and diverse fan base of music lovers in addition to gaining high praise from music royalty such as Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Vinnie Paul (Pantera, Hellyeah), Eric Wilson (Sublime) and Billy Idol along the way.
Fans can expect an unlikely meshing of metal classics from artist such as Metallica, Slayer, Ozzy Osbourne and more with traditional mariachi standards from the likes of Vicente Fernandez and Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan ...all played with traditional mariachi instrumentation but with a stage show that strays far from traditional. The event is presented by Lucky 13 Apparel (www.lucky13apparel.com) and The Trailer Park Truck (www.trailerparktruck.com), which will be serving up delicious, made to order comfort food with a twist outside the Whisky all night of the event.
Doors open at 7pm and this is an all ages event. Metalachi will be supported by Tartar Control, Geezer and Dirty Machine. Tickets are $20 and are available online via www.ticketweb or at the Whisky box office. The Whisky A Go Go is located at 8901 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069.
