Gwar's Oderus Urungus Discusses The Meaning Of The Track "Raped At Birth"
The Gauntlet caught up with Gwar mainman Oderus Urungus last week to chat about the band's new album "Battle Maximus". When asked if the track "Raped At Birth" was a commentary on the socio-economic downturn of today's youth at the hands of our nation's government, Oderus stated "I think the closer I get to it in the big dumb fucked up metaphor, I think the closest I get to [the meaning] is the line where I say "we are all raped at birth. It happened to me in a way that was way more horrible. We are all just raped at birth. We go from the most peaceful and beautiful existence where we are up in the pussy 24/7 not having to deal with the complexities of modern society to being babies in a year or so."
You can listen to the rest of what Oderus has to say on that and many other frivolous topics below.
Battle Maximus will be released on Metal Blade Records September 17th.
