ELUVEITIE Begin Work On New Album
Rumors have spread across the boundlessness of the internet and now Swiss folk metal pioneers ELUVEITIE have officially confirmed; they are working on a new record. Over a year has passed since the critically and fan acclaimed album Helvetios was released via Nuclear Blast. ELUVEITIE will wrap up the final shows of their "Helvetios World Tour" in the coming weeks, after having traveled around the globe for 20 months. After the tour ELUVEITIE will take a break from playing live, with the exception of this years’ "ELUVEITIE & Friends Festival".
Currently the band is fully focused on the follow-up to Helvetios. Work on their seventh studio album is already in full force - both conceptually and in songwriting department. “Keep your eyes and ears open,” commented the band. “You can expect more news on this soon!”
ELUVEITIE scanned 4,242 copies of their latest album Helvetios in its first week of sales in the United States according to Nielson Soundscan. Helvetios came in at #143 on the US Billboard Top 200 Chart and #3 on the Heatseekers chart, making it their highest charting record yet! ELUVEITIE also cracked the Canadian Top 200 coming in at #73! Helvetios was released on February 28 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records.
ELUVEITIE released The Early Years, a collection of re-rerecorded and re-mastered early material, on September 25th 2012.
