Carcass Guitarist Discusses Future U.S. Tour Plans
In an interview earlier today with Carcass founder Bill Steer, The Gauntlet asked about the band's tour plans for the U.S. Carcass recently announced five U.S. dates at very small venues that sold out quickly.
"What we were trying to do is play a handful of U.S. shows and that's all" stated Bill. "We don't consider this to be the U.S. tour because that is pretty pitiful, it is an enormous country."
He went on to state that "provided it goes well, and there is demand elsewhere we will come back in a few months for a proper U.S. tour. Putting it simply, it didn't really appear to be much of an option for various reasons to do a full fledged U.S. tour at this time. I'd imagine it would have to be the early part of next year if we were to go back and do North America properly."
Carcass will be releasing its first album since 1996 on September 17 via Nuclear Blast Records.
