The Venue Responds To The Gauntlet About Canceling Band For Being "Anti-Mormon"
Earlier this week, The Venue in Caldwell, ID dropped Utah's Deathead from the September 21 lineup (read more). A short time later, Deathead took to facebook alerting fans that the band was removed from the lineup due to having an anti-mormon shirt which reads "At least I'm not Mormon" on the back. The Gauntlet reached out to both sides of the debate and The Venue got back to us this morning stating "we were notified of the band's anti-mormon views and statements attacking the religion and we verified those reports. We don't associate with any group who singles out a target religion, race, nationality or gender. Being anti-mormon may be cute in Utah, but it doesn't play well outside the six corners of that state."
One thing is for sure, at least I'm not a metal fan in Idaho.
