The Defiled Bassist To Pull Double Duty On Upcoming Tour
Vincent Hyde, bassist for THE DEFILED from London, is performing double-duty on the band's current maiden tour of the U.S. His opening set is with his bandmates in THE DEFILED and his second set is with "Hide Your Morals" tour headliners Davey Suicide.
"I had about half a day to learn Davey's set," states Hyde from somewhere in Texas en route to Austin. "There's nothing preventative I do to avoid getting things like tendonitis or carpal tunnel. In my opinion, there's no fun in playing it too safe - although the only thing I do avoid is having a guitar or a keyboard impale me! While I'm not really a fan of current bands covering other current bands' tunes, if there was one song I could pick off our new Daggers album for Davey to perform, it would be 'Infected.'"
Daggers, THE DEFILED's second studio release, is due out in North America on August 6th and was recorded at Audio Hammer Studios in Florida with producer/engineer Jason Suecof (Death Angel, Job For A Cowboy, Atheist, Charred Walls Of The Damned).
THE DEFILED have made a name for themselves as one of the hottest bands on the U.K. metal scene and come across the Atlantic armed with an irrepressible combination of punishingly heavy riffs & melodies that has won the band an army of fans & high praise from the U.K. press in addition to a Metal Hammer Golden God Award for "Best British Newcomer."
