Al Jourgensen Discusses New Autobiography With The Gauntlet
Earlier this week, I spoke with the legendary Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen about his new book, "Ministry: The Lost Gospels According to Al Jourgensen". The book is both riveting and horrifying at the same time. Al Jourgensen stated to us "I am kind of embarrassed about it half the time. I only read it once and it kind of made me say 'what a dumbass I was.' Shit happens."
The book covers everything from Al's life as a kid, early Ministry, the birth of RevCo to the upcoming release "From Beer To Eternity." No gory detail is left out as Al recounts the debauchery and extreme drug use that fueled his life.
What sets Al's autobiography apart from others is he admits to every last bit of the shocking tragedy almost as if it were his final confession to a priest and he was trying to sneak into Heaven. Nobody said rock n' roll wasn't ugly.
Check out the interview below as Al discusses his book, why he won't fly anywhere on the 23rd or 15th, and why Slayer's Kerry King is a "douchebag":
