Slayer To Continue On Without Jeff Hanneman
The remaining two members of Slayer, Tom Araya and Kerry King, have issued the following message to fans about the future of the band.
"We know that our fans everywhere are hurting for the loss of Jeff just as we are.
We want to let you all know that when we come to Europe this summer in June, July and August, we'll ALL be making noise together for our brother and dear friend Jeff... We'll See you then!"
Dave Lombardo was kicked out of the band in February over a contract dispute and Jeff Hanneman passed away last week from liver failure.
*Editors note* I know everyone is going to jump all over Slayer for not waiting and I am right there with you. But tickets for the Euro dates fizzled out as death of a band member isn't good for sales. The promoter more than likely told the band they needed to end the speculation to salvage sales. Not an excuse, still done for money, but just a bit of an explanation of the why.
