Tim Lambesis To Be Arraigned On Thursday For Plot To Kill Wife
The lead singer of As I Lay Dying is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on charges he tried to hire a man to kill his estranged wife, San Diego County sheriff’s records show.
Tim Lambesis, 32, of Carlsbad was arrested without incident Tuesday in Oceanside while shopping. He is accused of attempting to find someone to kill his estranged wife, who lives in Encinitas.
A detective on the case stated to The Gauntlet that Lambesis was captured on video trying to hire an undercover sheriff's detective for the murder, authorities said. The meeting was arranged after detectives learned of Lambesis' desire to have his wife killed, authorities said.
Word on the band's involvement in the Killswitch Engage tour is expected to be announced later this week. At this point, The Agency Group who booked the tour, are weighing all options.
