Children Of Bodom Release New Song
Finnish heavy metal superstars CHILDREN OF BODOM (aka COB) have set Halo of Blood as the title of their eighth studio album, set for a June 11 North American release via Nuclear Blast Records. Today, CHILDREN OF BODOM unveils "Transference", the first new song from the record, via iTunes. Fans who pre-order Halo of Blood on iTunes in advance of its release can download the new song immediately.
CHILDREN OF BODOM recorded Halo of Blood in Finland's Danger Johnny Studios (located at a top secret, undisclosed location in Helsinki) with recording engineer Mikko Karmila, who worked with the band on their earlier albums Hatebreeder, Follow the Reaper and Hate Crew Deathroll and producer Peter Tägtgren (Marduk, Amon Amarth) who oversaw production of both vocals and keyboards on the record. Halo of Blood's striking cover art was created by artist Sam Saramäki, known for his work on classic COB records such as Follow the Reaper and Are You Dead Yet?.
CHILDREN OF BODOM frontman and international guitar hero Alexi Laiho comments, "Transference has an evil vibe to it which I wish I knew how to explain because it still gives me chills. This is one of our favorite tracks from the new album. Enjoy!""
