Flyleaf Guitarist On Lacey's Departure: "It Was A Refreshing Change"
The Gauntlet caught up with new Flyleaf vocalist Kristen May and guitarist Sameer Bhattacharya over the weekend for a brief interview. When discussing the departure of frontwoman Lacey Sturm, Sameer stated "With Lacey gone and Kristen in the band, it was a refreshing change."
Sameer went on to state that "Kristen May, like Lacey has a great vocal range and carries herself in the band very well. Kristen is also an amazing songwriter and we began writing some stuff before we went out on this tour with Drowning Pool. It has really added some new life to Flyleaf and I am very positive about what we are doing."
Flyleaf is currently finishing up its tour with Drowning Pool and will be performing at the Anaheim House of Blues on Mar 21. Tickets can be purchased at Live Nation.
