TESTAMENT Vocalist Chuck Billy Discusses The Setlist For The Upcoming Tour
The Gauntlet caught up with Testament frontman Chuck Billy this morning to get his thoughts on the tour with Overkill and Flotsam and Jetsam which starts tonight and heads south to the Anaheim House of Blues tomorrow (we are told tickets are still available for this show).
As for the setlist, Chuck tells us "This type of tour is tough. The band gets together and we play all the songs and just start to weed them out. This tour will definitely have a different setlist than we did on the Anthrax and Death Angel tour. We are leaning more towards "Dark Roots of Earth" and "The Formation of Damnation" records."
Check Billy went on to state that "when we got together back in 2005 with this lineup we played mostly the classic songs that we all wrote together. Now that we have new records together, we want to play the current stuff and change the show to let people know where we are now. We will be playing for an hour and a half so we will definitely have some classic songs in there, but we are bringing five songs from the new record. Usually we only play two or three after we release a record."
For you fans in Southern California, the Anaheim House of Blues show is tomorrow and tickets are still available so head over to the venue before the doors as you won't want to miss Testament and Overkill.
