Dave Mustaine on Obama "I know he was born somewhere else than America"
Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, never afraid to speak his mind, was a guest on the Monday, March 26 episode of 'George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight'. You know a political show is going to cause Mustaine to bable off some great shit for us to discuss and true to form, Dave didn't disappoint.
After a brief intro about Mustaine’s career, the interview touched on a number of subjects. Religion, politics and music were among the topics covered.
When asked about the healing process between him and Metallica, Mustaine said it started with the documentary ‘Some Kind Of Monster.’ “We were still volleying barbs back and forth in the press because of that movie. I didn’t want to be in it after I saw the footage. I just figured I’m not going to be a part of this. But it came out, it was really good for me. That was the beginning of it [the healing process]."
The interview went on and discussed President Obama and the “birther” issue. When asked about it, Mustaine replied, “I have a lot of questions about him, but certainly not where he was born. I know he was born somewhere else [other] than America.”
