TRIVIUM Drummer Nick Augusto's Gorish Hands


Trivium (2010) Trivium's drummer Nick Augusto recently posted a picture of his blistered hands and fingers caused from drumming on the bands current European tour. The photo's of his hands are pretty gruesome but could they be avoided?

Nick's problem might be caused by the way he holds his sticks states a drum expert at Guitar Center. "His stick holding technique might need to be changed or he might be showboating far to much on stage. We typically see this from drummers that play the part for the crowd and the shows get played too close together like most touring bands. Whatever you do though if you get a blister, don't pick at it."

Nick did state that this isn't a normal for him and it only happened after peeling off a blister after it opened up. The result is this:
