THE SWORD To Appear On Labor Day Episode Of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations
As a first step of the pre-release campaign for their new album, Apocryphon, The Sword will appear Monday, September 3rd at 9 PM ET/PT on Travel Channel's highly rated show Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations-The Final Tour. The show was shot in March in Austin, Texas at the SXSW music festival. Here is a description of the band's segment and a short clip taken from the show. (see below)
First Tony grabs a drink with The Sword at their favorite local bar, The Draught House. They then take him to Quality Seafood Market for some fish tacos, fried catfish, and oysters – all with the band’s brand-name hot sauce.
As noted above, the band takes the opportunity to introduce Bourdain to their branded hot sauce “Tears of Fire.” As of Tuesday September 4th, the sauce will be available for sale at the following site.

Creator of the sauce, Brian Rush, says the following, "They wanted something hot, but with a good flavor. I already make a really hot red habanero sauce (August in Austin), so it was just a matter of taking that over the top. I added the infamous Ghost Chile, the hottest pepper in the world along with some extra spice to give it another dimension of zing. This is an other-worldly sauce with both flavor and heat, named after a killer song for one of the best bands Austin has to offer."
Apocryphon, the band's fourth album and first for new label partners Razor & Tie will be released October 22nd followed by a U.S tour. Tour details will be announced Wednesday September 5th.
