Anti-Defamation League Apologizes To HATEBREED For Calling It A Hate Group

Hatebreed (2010) Last week, CNN decided to weigh in on hate music after it was revealed that Wade Page (Sikh temple killer) was in a hate punk metal group. The CNN piece was full of errors and erroneous statements like NSBM is death metal and Hatebreed is a racist hate group. CNN apologized to Hatebreed a few hours later, but CNN was just quoting the Anti-Defamation Leagues list of hate-filled bands in the U.S. Today, Jamey Jasta, Hatebreed, and the bands fans got their apology from the Anti-Defamation League.

The letter reads: "The Anti-Defamation League is deeply sorry for mistakenly including your band, Hatebreed, in an opinion piece we did for CNN about white supremacist hate bands.

"Hatebreed should not have been mentioned. As soon as the error was brought to our attention, we corrected the piece by removing the reference to Hatebreed. We sincerely regret that your band was referred to in our piece and fully recognize that Hatebreed is not a purveyor of white supremacist, racist ideology.

"We also apologize to your loyal fans who were justifiably disturbed by seeing Hatbreed included in the piece."
