New BARONESS Album Lands Highest Debut In Relapse Records History


Baroness (2012) The album sold 12,660 copies in its first week of release, the highest debut in Relapse Record's history.

Baroness spent the entirety of 2011 writing, demoing and recording Yellow & Green, marking the East Coast-based band's first lengthy break from touring in eight years. John Congleton co-produced the 18-track release, which was recorded at Water Music in Hoboken, N.J. and Elmwood Studio in Dallas, Texas. The album was released on July 17 and is currently streaming at baroness.bandcamp.com.
