Shockwave Music Festival Is Now Canceled
Emails have been going to to ticket holders from Ticketmaster and some venues regarding the cancellation of the Shockwave Music Festival. The lineup seemed strong with bands like Fear factory, Misery Index, Voivod, Havok, and many more. The tour was plagued by bands dropping off like Misery Index today stating "Due to a series of unfortunate events, we're not doing any shows on any shockwave/Fear Factory/Voivod etc. tour. It's cancelled. Sorry for the confusion, we are extremely upset about this and sorry to any fans who bought tix."
The notice sent to fans can be read here courtesy of Gauntlet commenter Gangrene:
"We regret to inform that the Shockwave Tour scheduled for at [removed] has been cancelled. For purchases made with a credit card, your card will automatically be
refunded. All other refunds are available at point of purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience.
"Please contact us at the number below with any questions or concerns."
Update: Fear Factory Frontman was just asked by Jon Donais of Shadows Fall about the Shockwave Fest "Shockwave cancelled? If so lets get a tour together again." Dino replied with "Fuck yeah, Prison Hot Fest." It isn't proof, but if the tour were still on, you'd expect the headliner to deny the rumor publicly. Dino is a stand-up guy though and wouldn't mislead fans.
