JUNGLE ROT Frontman Kills Giant World Record Bear On Hunting Trip
Move over Ted Nugent, Jungle Rot vocalist Dave Matrise has you in his sites and is locked and loaded. Matrise was on a weekend bow hunting trip in Manitoba, Canada and bagged a 257kg (567 lbs) black bear. The bear measured 2.3m (7.5 feet) with a skull measuring .54m (fucking American's learn the god damn metric system). Check out the photos below.
The thing about this is Dave was 15 yards away from a pissed as fuck black bear. Black bears are very territorial and just being near one is enough reason to get mauled. When Dave fired his first and only shot, it had to be spot on and kill the bear. If it didn't, Jungle Rot would be searching for a new frontman today.
Upon spotting the black bear at a distance of 16m, Dave fired a single arrow puncturing both of the bears lungs. The bear ran a total of 55M before dropping dead. Dave commented, "It was an amazing feeling shooting such a large beast. The black bear is what all bear hunters dream of shooting someday, or even get a chance to see one in the wild, in your life time."
Dave was also happy to set the new Boone & Crockett world record for bear, which is the highest achievement to get as a bow hunter. This is a once in a lifetime bear!
