BELPHEGOR To Enter The Studio Next Week
Death/black metallers BELPHEGOR will enter Mana Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida on May 29th. The band has tapped Erik Rutan to produce their new album and the recording sessions and mix/mastering process are set for completion by mid October. The as-yet-untitled album will be released in early 2013 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Guitarist/vocalist Helmuth Lehner commented: "The last rehearsals turned out fantastic. We get every arrangement to its highest audial potential. Added a lot of new haunting and compelling structures/ rhythm parts and tritones intervals: tones that were forbidden by the damn church in middle
ages. We're on fire. Expect more shredding, more magick, more of everything."
Bassist Serpenth adds: "All right, a new chapter. These are the last days before we hit the Mana studios in Florida. We're all set. The nine sound collages are faster and more aggressive than on the previous album, Blood Magick Necromance."
Producer Erik Rutan further commented: “I am very excited to be recording and mixing the new Belphegor album at Mana. After many discussions with Helmuth and hearing some clips of new material, I know that the band is very focused and determined on making a harmoniously evil extreme masterpiece. We shall make one beast of an album that the fans have come to expect from Belphegor!”
