Throwback Thursday: Type O Negative


Type O Negative Because we have become obsessed with Twitter over the last couple months, we have been thinking of something fun to do on Thursday's so we came up with #ThTh or Throwback Thursday. Every Thursday, we will bring you something out of the metal archives along with why it is significant to the scene. For those of you on Twitter, please RT.

The 1993 release of Type O Negative's Bloody Kisses was seminal in the development of Roadrunner Record's. Not only was the release the first for the label to be certified gold by the RIAA in 1995, but it was also the first release to get regular airplay and crack the Billboard Top 40. The album turned frontman Peter Steele into a sex symbol among gothic chicks. Below is the video for "Christian Woman" off Bloody Kisses.
