Iconic Club Turns To Craigslist To Book Shows
In the ever changing world of music, where should a world famous club turn to book a metal show? Craigslist of course! However I don't think that should be the correct answer though but if you are the world renowned and iconic Whisky A-Go-Go, then it might be your only option.
The Whisky has been swindling many local Los Angeles bands for more than a decade now. Shit like charging charity events like CrueFest even though the affair brings in a very nice take from the bar.
There is also the famous 'pay to play' that the Whisky uses to pad their pockets at the expenses of the bands. The bands pay a lot and get little in return all while being treated like shit from staff who cut bands sets short at will. The bad part about 'pay to play' is it keeps good bands away and with the Sunset Strip in decline, it seems like the Whisky is leading the descent to the bottom.
This is why it doesn't surprise me that much to see the Whisky turn to Craigslist to find some new bands to
"Currently booking metal bands for a few shows on the Sunset Strip for April/May.
Wanna be apart of the famous Metal Sanaz's Birthday Bash?!
"And other great shows, with nationals as well!
"If you're interested, please contact me asap!
And please have a link to your bands music online and ready!"
Personally, I think she should book a clown, it is Sanaz's Birthday afterall.
