OCTOBER TIDE Sign With Pulverised Records
Swedish melodic gloom lords OCTOBER TIDE have officially inked a worldwide deal with Pulverised Records.
Shortly a year after October Tide announced their reformation, the band wasted no time and went on to release the acclaimed new album after eleven years with A Thin Shell.
Come 2012, October Tide is currently preparing and hard at work on the untitled new album, which will once again precipitate some serious mournful tunes and the beauty of darkness and sorrow have never been so sonically enchanting. October Tide have scheduled the recording of the untitled new album at the renowned Black Lounge Studio in Sweden. The production duties will once again be handled under the helm of Jonas Kjellgren.
In an official statement by October Tide drummer Robin Bergh: "We are extremely pleased to sign with Pulverised Records for the next album and beyond. During the negotiations for the new deal we noticed that Roy, Calvin and the entire Pulverised crew were seriously thrilled about the band and the art we create, hence we are confident that this doomish union will bring October Tide to the next level. Our new strong lineup feels utterly satisfying and we are more than ready for the future to come. We are currently finishing up the writing process for the yet untitled fourth full-length which will be recorded during May and June at Black Lounge Studio with Mr. Jonas Kjellgren behind the knobs. This upcoming October Tide recording will surely be a deadly doom metal masterpiece, you mark my words!"
Pulverised Records label manager Roy Yeo further commented: "Having been a personal long-time fan of the band, there was no way we would let this chance slip past us to sign them for the new album! With their brand of despondent and mind-numbing modus operandi that is truly unique to October Tide, it is clearly evident that the band had already found their sound as heard on A Thin Shell. Now that the album deal is signed, sealed and delivered, we now wait in anticipation on how the brand new opus will mould itself into yet another benchmark masterpiece!
In other October Tide-related news, the band recently underwent a lineup change with both singer Tobias Netzell and bass-player Pierre Stam leaving the band for personal commitments and other musical projects. Coming on board the October Tide camp are Mattias Norrman (ex-KATATONIA, ex-INTERMENT, etc) on bass and Alexander Högbom (VOLTURYON, SPASMODIC) on vocals.
